GLASS CARE

Cleaning & Maintenance

You can clean your stained glass piece periodically by gently buffing with a soft rag and polish (100% Pure Caranuba wax is encouraged). This will help return it to its original shine. Patina (black or copper coloured solder lines) will dim over time, this is completely normal. Never use any harsh chemicals or household cleaners on stained glass pieces, especially on pieces with hand-painted details as this can cause permanent damage to the piece.

Hanging

I strongly discourage the use of suction cups, even for lightweight/small pieces. Suction cups are very unreliable and are simply not worth the risk. I recommend installing hooks for suspended window displays - these can be installed into the window frame. If this is not possible for your space, you can also hang your piece from a curtain rod using an 'S' hook (or even an old curtain hook!). If you want to display your piece on a wall, installing into a wall stud or using highly rated drywall anchors would be the most secure .

Care & Safety

All of my stained glass art is created with lead solder but is perfectly safe for you to have in your home with you. However, out of an abundance of caution, please consider immediately washing your hands after handling your piece.

Keep stained glass works out of reach of children and pets.

Do not ingest stained glass!
